Investigators with the county coroner's office looking into the suspected drowning death in Valencia of a 41-year-old man two weeks ago are waiting on the results of toxicology tests before they announce how he died.

The victim, identified as Matthew Pedro Turner, was found shortly after 11 a.m. on Aug. 5 in the deep end of a swimming pool at the Santa Fe condominium complex on Del Monte Drive east of McBean Parkway.

Craig Henry of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner said the man's cause of death has been "deferred" until the department receives additional information.

"We don't know at this point if it's a heart attack," Henry told reporters at the time of the incident. "We don't know if it's an accident, or what."

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the pool from the fire station on Citrus Street and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation to try to revive the man, a department spokesman said at the time.
