The Scorch Sisters band will play The Cellar Wine Bar & Restaurant in Saugus this Sunday, Aug. 21, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and there is no cover charge. The recently-formed Scorch Sisters group is made up of highly-regarded SoCal musicians Francesca Capasso (vocals, percussion), Alicia McCracken Morgan (keyboards, vocals) and Kimberly "KC" Allison (guitars). Their resumes include playing with a number of big name bands.

Red hot blues is what the Scorch Sisters play, and their reputation is spreading quickly thanks, in part, to recent high-profile gigs headlining Real Blues Festival 2 in May and Ladies Do the Blues this past July. The group has also created a burgeoning blues following in the San Fernando Valley with now-weekly events at Harper's, in conjunction with longtime deejay Ann the Raven from KCSN-FM 88.5. You can also catch the Scorch Sisters performing for a Woman's Cancer event benefiting the City of Hope in Duarte, on Sunday, Aug. 28 at Joe's American Grill in Burbank.

The Cellar Wine Bar & Restaurant is located at 26340 Diamond Place in Saugus. Visit www.thecellarwbr.com for information or call (661) 799-7979.
