Investigators looking into the Castaic Lake drowning Sunday of a Reseda man are now waiting for the results of toxicology tests stemming from an autopsy done on the man’s body.

His identity has not been released, as officials with the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner are still trying to reach the man’s next of kin in Mexico, a spokesman for the coroner said Tuesday.

On Sunday, deputies with the Parks Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a man suddenly disappearing under the water at Castaic Lake about 6:45 p.m.

The 28-year-old man, recovered from the lake by divers and later identified as a resident of Reseda, was pronounced dead at the scene.
