Deputies arrested a Saugus boy Wednesday in connection with a string of residential burglaries in Saugus over the past several months, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.
The arrest marks the end of local detectives’ and deputies’ ongoing investigation into the series of home burglaries.
On Wednesday, a Saugus woman reported that someone had broken into her home that morning and believed the burglar may have been one of her neighbors, according to the release.
Detective Charles Christensen of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station obtained a photo of the suspect, whom the woman identified as the person who broke into her home.
Detectives arrested the boy after serving a search warrant at his home on Canterwood Drive in Saugus.
There, Christensen recovered a variety of items reported stolen in Saugus home and vehicle burglaries in recent months, according to the sheriff’s statement.
