Toccoa Kahovec of Santa Clarita has been named as a Presidential Scholar by California Lutheran University for the 2008-2009 year. The program was established in 1997 recognizes freshmen of outstanding academic caliber who embody the university's educational and social goals. They receive scholarships ranging from $14,500 to full tuition for four years.
