Boy Scouts visiting Castaic Lake were given a break by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Tuesday, when supervisors approved a motion to reduce the cost of parking for scouting volunteers.

Los Angeles County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich proposed to have the lake’s parking fee reduced to $5 per vehicle from the usual $11 rate.

From July 18-24, the Bill Hart District Boy Scouts of America will be attending their Annual Cub Scout Twilight Camp at Castaic Lake.
