Lombardi Ranch Pumpkin Festival brings the fall harvest to life each weekend in October at Lombardi Ranch, a local family owned and operated farm. Lombardi Ranch offers fresh produce and pumpkins in numerous shapes and sizes. Band performances, train rides, a petting zoo, wagon rides, a scarecrow contest and more. Hours are Mondays through Saturdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Sundays and holidays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking and entry to the ranch is free. Lombardi Ranch, 29527 Bouquet Canyon Road, Saugus. Eighth Annual Bow-Wows & Meows Pet Fair. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 70 vendors of pet related supplies and services: entertainment, shows, Kidz Zone, DJ, pet psychic, animal photographers, delicious food court, "Fun Dog Show", raffle, freebies, low cost vaccine clinic, education, training and so much more. The Heritage Haunt Pumpkin Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be backstage tours, maze haunt, gold panning, ghost-hunting, non-scary photos, high school jazz bands and museums. At Hart Park there will be pumpkin carving contests, jumpers, bug shows and animal shows. Free.

Thee Samuel Dixon Family Health Center's sixth Annual Rubber Ducky Regatta from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on at Castaic Lake. The rubber duck race will be held at 1 p.m. (661) 257-2339, ext. 302, www.duckrace.com/scv.

Oct. 19
The Soroptimists of Greater Santa Clarita Valley will host the inaugural "The Wine Affair ... Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds" from 1 to 5 p.m. on along Town Center Drive in the Westfield Valencia Town Center. A portion of the day's proceeds will benefit the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center to help women who are unable to afford detection services. Tickets will be available at $40 in advance; $50 the day of the event. 21 and over. Nov. 8
The Susanna and Mike Gunning Texas Hold ‘Em Benefit will be held at the Hyatt Valencia. Registration begins at 5:45 p.m. and the tournament begins at 6:30 p.m. The buy-in is $100 with unlimited re-buys for the first two hours. The tournament is limited to 300 players.
