About 100 Saugus Union School District students celebrated their newfound artistic skills Thursday during a concert at Rosedell Elementary School in Saugus.

The kids were part of the elementary school district’s Summer Arts Enrichment program, which gives youngsters hands-on lessons about the arts.

As part of the tuition-based program, kids in kindergarten through fifth grade learn about drama, dance, visual arts, music, orchestra and choir during the two-week program.

The enrichment is meant to show kids the significance of the arts and teach them self-confidence skills.

Thursday’s concert was performed in front of dozens of parents and school leaders.
