It’s not Christmas in July, but planning for the 2011 Holiday Home Tour is well underway and the Home Tour League is seeking Santa Clarita Valley homes, 3,000 square feet or larger.

For more than 30 years, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s Holiday Home Tour League has offered the community an opportunity to visit three to four elaborately decorated SCV homes during the holiday season.

This year’s Home Tour will be held Dec. 3.

In addition to supporting Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, qualifying homeowners can select to have a professional designer decorate their home for the holidays in a theme of their choice or decorate the home themselves.

The Home Tour League offers a stipend to assist with decorating expenses.

In addition, homeowners receive four complimentary tickets to the Home Tour and two tickets for the Home Tour Preview Gala.

A complimentary reservation at a local hotel the evening prior to the Home Tour is also included.

The Preview Gala will be held the night before the Home Tour on Friday, Dec. 2.

Since its inception, the Holiday Home Tour League has raised more than $700,000 for women’s services at Newhall Memorial, purchasing state-of-the-art equipment and helping to expand hospital services. Currently, the efforts of the Home Tour League benefit the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, scheduled to open in 2011.

Interested homeowners may contact the hospital’s Volunteer Services department at (661) 253-8051.
