Regarding “Teenager with gun removed from bus” (Oct. 2) by Melissa Gasca, Staff Writer: I don’t know why it bothered me, but I feel compelled to ask why Ms. Gasca felt the father’s attire (red 7-11 shirt and jeans) was important or necessary for this story?

I found this information to be completely insignificant and actually a distraction from the story.

Without prompting, two other people I spoke with that morning made the same observation. It made the article seem amateurish.
