The All Valley Federal Credit Union held a grand-opening celebration for its new Santa Clarita branch Saturday.
The ceremony included an “Art Mobile,” a vehicle donated for the day by Valencia BMW, for children and adults to paint on. People attending the celebration were able to paint on the car, creating mobile art.
“The kids get to paint positive messages on it,” said Kelly Cobos, vice president of marketing. “This is how we promote art in our schools.”
The credit union also travels to schools with its “Savings Mobile” to promote continuous education by starting to save for college at an early age.
Raffle prizes were awarded every hour, and one grand-prize winner took home an iPad. The KHTS AM 1220 fire truck was also on the scene for children to tour.
Cobos and All Valley executives Cecelia Zumbado, vice president operations, and CEO Mark Davey were on hand to greet people as they came out for the grand opening and to invite guests to create their own art on the vehicle.
The new branch opened at 26471 Carl Boyer Drive in the Walmart Supercenter.
“The art of saving, having fun with art and learning about saving for your future at all ages is what we’re all about,” Davey said.
