Dick Cesaroni: Cedillo’s support of Dream Act is wrong

Teachers threatened with layoffs. All-time high indebtedness within the state. School programs being cut back. Tuition in community collages being raised. Unemployment at an all-time high. State budget is suffering. Politicians asking every taxpayer to suck it up and garner some of the pain while they try to balance the state budget.

The economy of the state is in shambles and what does State Assemblyman Gil Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, do?

He sponsors AB131, and it’s passed in the state Assembly. The bill will “open the door to state funded financial aid for immigrant college students who entered the United States illegally.”

Can you believe this guy? He is one of the main problems in this state. He has to come up with ideas on how to spend more money when we are on the brink on bankruptcy — and on criminals, at that.

These illegal immigrants are here illegally. They are breaking the law. But instead of trying to stem the flow of criminals coming into our country, Cedillo wants to reward them for breaking the law and give the word to all of the rest of the illegal immigrants that you can get paid for being here illegally.

I ask the Senate to vote down this ridiculous bill just on its face.

The name again is Gil Cedillo. Please remember that name at election time.

Assemblyman Cedillo, start taking care of our own citizens who are here legally and/or were born here. Take care of the state budget before you start giving “our” money away to these mutts.

Gil Cedillo is giving aid and comfort to criminals and he must stop. Cedillo must go!

Just one taxpayer’s opinion.
