19th District race pits two political viewpoints

It looks like the 19th District state Senate race will be one to watch closely. It appears two very different viewpoints are represented in this race. From my perspective, this election is about sending a message to Sacramento.

For years now, our Legislature has been dominated by Democrats who seem much farther left and out of touch than most Democrats I know. They have taxed and spent our state into economic misery, and I can't imagine why we would reward them with additional seats in the state capitol. With a two-thirds majority hanging in the balance, we can't afford to eliminate the only safeguard we have against one party dominating the budget.

I support Tony Strickland for many reasons, but the people of this district should understand that if his opponent wins this race, our state Legislature can more easily increase taxes and grow the giant bureaucracy that has led us to where we are.
