REP presents ‘Of Mice and Men'

Cell Phones For Soldiers
The Hart High School cheerleaders are sponsoring the Cell Phones For Soldiers drive. Every cell phone turned in will be exchanged for a pre paid phone card and sent to U.S. Troops overseas through the non-profit organization Cell Phones For Soldiers. Trail Team: First Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. Help repair trails, pick up litter and remove weeds. Fifteen minute safety orientation mandatory. Wear long pants, boots, and bring water.
Bird Walk: Second Saturday of the month. Walks start at 9 a.m. and last about two hours. They are free and there is no parking fee. Beginning bird watchers and families are welcome. Children aged 6 and older are welcome with a responsible adult. Bring binoculars and field guide.
Volunteer Orientation: First Saturday of the month from 10 to 11 a.m. Learn about volunteer opportunities at the Nature Center and Park.

Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, Inc. reminds the community that it offers targeted health care services for men, including diabetes treatment, preventative health care treatment for heart disease and stroke, and counseling/support for smoking cessation.
SDFHC operates three health centers in the Santa Clarita Valley - Canyon Country Health Center (661) 424-1220, Val Verde Health Center (661) 257-4008, and Newhall Health Center (661) 291-1777 - as well as outreach sites at College of the Canyons and California Institute of the Arts.
SDFHC offers a full range of health care services - physicals, immunizations and vaccines, screenings and diagnostic tests, well baby care, and family planning - to those who may not seek health care elsewhere. Patients pay based on their income. Easily accessible services are available for the entire family in both English and Spanish. Medi-Cal, Blue Cross and Healthy Families are all accepted, and a sliding fee scale is offered.
