A group of 74 Valencia High School students recently raised $3,682 to buy a poor family in Haiti a new home.

The house was given to the Luckner Monestime family from Chastenoye Cap-Haitian, Haiti through Food for the Poor, an international relief organization.

Along with the house with a concrete floor and zinc roof, the students raised enough money for a latrine, rice and beans for a full year, school supplies for two children and clothing and shoes.
