Archie is a 7-year-old handsome Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. He is housebroken and older kids are okay. Archie is a fun little guy desperately in need of a loving home.
When Archie first arrived at New Leash, he was very hand shy (possibly from previous owner abuse) and didn't like anyone to touch him, especially on his hind legs and back end.
But the staff at New Leash has worked with Archie on this issue and are now able to pet him and have him sit in their laps.
There's nothing Archie loves more (besides food) than getting scratched underneath his collar or getting his tummy rubbed.
Archie needs to go to a dog savvy person who is willing to go slow with him and give him the training he needs to be the best dog he can be.
Though the staff at New Leash are doing all they can to work with him, Archie needs to be in a home environment where he can gain the trust of an owner who will love and understand him forever and give him all the tummy rubs he could ever hope for!
