I was reading your article "Lots to cheer about ... but no cheerleaders," but what about a marching band for COC?

The college has the best Performance Arts Center in the Santa Clarita Valley, and I was completely in shock when I attended a football game last week and found there was no marching band.

We have a selected group of kids performing and playing music at our Santa Clarita high schools, scoring high points and obtaining championships, and it's extremely sad to know that COC does not have a marching band where they can pursue their dreams.

Can someone explain this to our kids?
