The Association of Women Entrepreneurs has announced a new membership level for businesswomen, the platinum level.
The platinum level is geared toward women who are very serious about growing their businesses, said Tera McHugh, founder of the association.

The new membership level includes strategy and accountability sessions, along with a monthly Mastermind meeting. Members will be teamed with other women business owners, so that the experience of all members complements the needs of each member of the team.

The new membership level was created after business leaders shared that they wanted to come together with like-minded women so they could connect and collaborate on issues, such as business strategies and challenges, McHugh said.

The platinum level includes a one-day business-success seminar that helps a business owner become clearer about her business, its goal and mission. Members also explore what’s getting in the way or preventing them from moving their business forward.

“A lot of business owners don’t define their annual revenue goals,” McHugh said. “They do a bunch of different things to try and make money without clear goals or vision.”

The seminar program teaches owners how to build a solid foundation in their business that allows them gain visibility and attract loyal clients and customers to their business, she said. The seminar is scheduled in June.

Another issue for many business owners is time management, McHugh said. There so many things pulling a business owner in different directions, and if an owner isn’t clear about the results they want in their business, they may spend time on the wrong tasks, McHugh said.

“In the past I was very to-do-list oriented,” McHugh said. “I’ve since trained myself to be very results-list focused.”
