After studying fashion at FIDM, 23 year old entrepreneur Madison Schwartz owns and operates the Newhall clothing boutique “Fresh.” A member of local business and charitable organizations, Schwartz appreciates the support she has from women in the community.

Santa Clara Valley Bank posts solid operating profits
Santa Clara Valley Bank announced a solid operating profit, reporting a net profit of $131,000 for the first quarter of 2011, compared to a loss of $181,000 experienced a year earlier. Noninterest income increased from $33,000 to $130,000 year-over-year.
