Homebuilder Williams Homes recently constructed the Solstice community of townhomes on Avalon Drive in Santa Clarita. The houses  offer suitable options for first-time homeowners, or those looking to downsize.

In order to entice sales, the local homebuilder is offering to pay homebuyer’s HOA fees for one year, and offering up to $10,000 in flooring upgrades.

With prices beginning at $259,000, the townhomes are available in five different 2-story floor plans and feature numerous detached-home amenities.

The homes range from 1,106 to 1,823 square feet, include two or three bedrooms and up to two-and-one-half baths, depending on the floor plan. All homes come with a two-car attached garage.

Village neighborhoods
The property was developed as two separate village neighborhoods. The first village, Solstice North, opened in March 2008. After the sale of all the homes, Williams Homes developed the second village, Solstice South. Williams anticipates a sell-out by mid-year 2011.

The Soltice “village neighborhoods” have landscaped community recreation areas and home exteriors of Tuscan, early Californian and craftsman-style architecture. Exteriors feature stucco and stone materials. The concrete tile roofs are fire retardant.

“Solstice exemplifies the residential appeal of an intimate neighborhood where you can take pleasure in a beautiful new home, benefit from community amenities and plan for your future with confidence,” said Dan Faina, sales and marketing director of Williams Homes.

The new homes’ interiors include beech cabinetry in fruitwood finish, granite countertops, pantries and stainless-steel sinks.

Townhome packages include a Whirlpool stainless-steel appliance package with a 30-inch cooktop range and four sealed gas burners, self-cleaning oven, overhead microwave, built-in dishwasher and side-by-side refrigerator with in-door ice/water dispenser. Laundry rooms come with white Whirlpool washer and dryer appliances.

The townhomes also feature fireplaces, decks and en suite master bedrooms built with master bathrooms.

There is direct access to the homes from the attached garages. The garages also include remote openers and are finished with drywall.

Model homes open
Under the leadership of Lance Williams, president of Williams Homes of Santa Clarita, the company has built hundreds of new homes throughout Southern California.

“The collection has been tremendously successful, and we expect sales momentum of this final phase to increase with the many builder incentives being offered. With just a few homes available, attractive pricing and special financing, home shoppers should visit today for the best selection,” Faina said.

Solstice townhomes at located at 27960 Avalon Drive and be toured daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Mondays noon to 6 p.m. For more information, interested buyers can call (661) 299-9082 or go online at
