The Community Hiking Club and the Sierra Club plans to host a clean-up day for the Magic Mountain wilderness area from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. People habitually dump trash on this mountain, which endangers the condor habitat. Organizers seek as many people as possible to help in this effort to save the condors.

Volunteers need to bring gloves, hand sanitizer, wipes, a plastic spoon, water and lunch. Participants will meet on Sand Canyon Road and Bear Divide Road at the Bear Divide Picnic area before 8:30 a.m., then pick up trash along Santa Clara Divide Road. Participants can join the work party any time throughout the day.

Exit Highway 14 at Sand Canyon Road and drive south. Continue about 6.5 miles into the Angeles National Forest and turn right at Bear Divide Road. The picnic area is on the right side at this intersection.
