TMC 'masters' Westmont College

College Men's Soccer
The Master's 2, Westmont 0

The Master's College defeated Westmont 2-0 on Tuesday on the Mustangs home field.

Fabio Joaquim and Chris Willams both scored a goal in the contest, while Marlon Lindo and Doug Armstrong assisted on the plays.

TMC improves its record to 5-0-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the Golden State Athletic Conference.

College Women's Volleyball
Vanguard 3, The Master's College 0,

The Master's College was defeated by Vanguard 25-15, 25-21, 25-22 on Tuesday evening in Costa Mesa.

Sarah Oskam had a team high six kills followed by Rachel Roleder who finished with four. Leslie Windham added 11 digs for the Lady Mustangs.

Varsity Volleyball
Santa Clarita Christian 3, Desert 1

Kristina Gibson had 17 kills, two aces and 7 digs while Kaley Morrison had six digs, four aces and five blocks.

Karla Eberlein added five kills, five blocks and two aces. Joanna Masopust had 38 assists. The Cardinals are 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the Heritage League. The team will face Wildwood Thursday at home.

Junior Varsity Volleyball

Golden Valley finished third in the Santa Paula Tournament this weekend.

Freshman setter Erin Kelly finished the tournament with 20 assists and 10 aces, while outside hitter Sarah Ibrahim had 10 kills.

Middle blockers Kelly Nicolas and Mattie Brehm each had eight kills in the tournament. Golden Valley begins Foothill League 3-1 record and will face West Ranch on Thursday.
