The Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association plans to host its fourth annual Law Appreciation Day at Noon Friday at the Hyatt Valencia.

"Raising the Bar" will recognize several outstanding community members along with local law enforcement members from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, California Highway Patrol, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Confirmed attendees include: Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth and representatives from U.S. Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon, Sens. George Runner and Tom McClintock, along with Sheriff Lee Baca, Highway Patrol Capt. Mark Odle, and Fire Department Assistant Chief Lucas Claus.

Tickets are $75 and a few table sponsorships are still available.
