Completing a job application and creating a resumé are the topic for the next LifeForward  workshop offered by Zonta Club of the SCV on Saturday, April 23. The workshops are offered free to local women, and free child care is available for those who reserve at least one week in advance. The workshops are held at Desert Streams Church, 26873 Ruether Ave., Canyon Country, and run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Free childcare for pre-registered participants will be provided by Single Mothers Outreach, which is located in the same complex.

Presenter for the workshop will be Michele Lobl, an author and professional employment and training consultant.

Lobl will teach participants what to put on a job application and how to develop an impressive resume. Participants will create a job application template and learn about references, cover letters and thank-you notes.

Future workshops in the series will include Interview Skills on May 14 and Workplace Success on June 25. The four-part series, which started with the March workshop, is structured to help women select a rewarding career, get the job and be successful in the workplace. Other workshops in the LifeForward series deal with financial acumen and life skills.

For information about Zonta’s LifeForward workshops is available by email to Registration for the workshop and childcare, if needed, is handled online at
