A suspected drug dealer and mother of four children was arrested in Canyon Country after deputies found she allegedly had hidden six bags of heroin inside her 14-year-old son’s pants, authorities said Tuesday.

The woman, 31, of Lake Los Angeles, was pulled over by deputies at 5:45 p.m. Monday while she was driving near the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Robert C. Lee Parkway, according to a statement from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The woman’s son and an 11-year-old child were both passengers in the car at the time of the traffic stop.

While searching the vehicle, deputies found the bags of heroin inside her son’s pants near his groin.

The woman later admitted to authorities that she had her son place the heroin in his pants to conceal the drugs, according to the statement.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin for sales, transporting heroin, child endangerment and inducing a minor to transport heroin.

While she was being booked at the Sheriff’s Station, deputies also found methamphetamine in her clothes. She was then additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine for sales, transportation of methamphetamine and bringing drugs into a jail, according to the statement.

She was being held Tuesday on $250,000 bail. Her two children were released to the Los Angeles County Department of Children’s Services. Authorities will conduct an investigation into the welfare of the woman’s two other children, the statement said.
