Letter: ‘Chicago politics’ play a toxic role

I keep hearing on the news of suicide bombers and policemen that assassinate people trying to help them achieve a more “normal” way of life.

I’m thinking there may not be a normal way of life for them. It led me to think maybe we need to do the Vietnam type of “police action.”

They say the “monkey killer” bombing didn’t do anything, and we didn’t win. The only thing I know is, there doesn’t seem to be any antagonism or aggression coming from that area for a long time.

Unfortunately, the president we have now is not up to par on any level of leadership, at home, abroad, economically, financially — it’s unbelievable. It’s like this country never heard of “Chicago politics.”

Most of the high-ranking politicians from there are in a federal institution for the job they did. I’m talking striped clothes and bars on the windows and doors.

The major problem is, he has access to the printing press that makes hundred-dollar bills, and the machine is never shut off. I’m afraid it’s going to be like a “green anchor” on our economy for decades to come.

Call me a disillusioned ex-Chicago-area person.
