Shame on The Signal. The Signal repeatedly ignores Santa Clarita Christian School's sports.

SCCS has one of the best running backs in the valley. He was picked "All Santa Clarita Football Team" as a sophomore last year. Yet he is not on the cover of the fall football preview.

Saturday night, SCCS played Joshua Springs, the defending CIF champions, but the "hometown" newspaper can't be bothered to cover the game. SCCS did win in a very exciting game. SCCS is one of three team picked to be in the CIF final this year. SCCS has over 600 kids who attend the school. That's 600 hometown families that don't get to see their kids or school in the hometown paper.

I know there are a lot of sporting events on Saturday nights for The Signal to cover. Oh wait, no, there is not, since public schools play during the week, not on weekends.

Does The Signal have to send its whole staff to COC to watch them play? The Signal dropped the ball by missing one of the most anticipated games of the year.

I hope in the future The Signal will live up to its promise of being a "hometown" newspaper.
