The city of Santa Clarita has joined forces with WorkSource California to launch Workforce Development Month, an outreach and educational campaign happening during the month of April.

As one of the 17 California Centers connected to the campaign, the Santa Clarita WorkSource Center will host workshops, orientations, special events and complimentary consultations to Santa Clarita residents all month long.

"Workforce Development Month offers job seekers trainings and workshops to improve their skills in the job market or find a new job or career," Santa Clarita Mayor Marsha McLean said. "We are excited that our very own Santa Clarita WorkSource Center has been included in this initiative, allowing the center to provide vital employment and training services to the community, all free of charge."

Located in the Dianne Von Hook University Center at College of the Canyons, Santa Clarita WorkSource provides services that are vital to helping our local businesses and job seekers compete in this competitive marketplace.

The WorkSource Center offers everything from online job searching tools, resume and interviewing skills workshops to one-on-one assistance.

WorkSource California is a network of experts that leverage funding and resources across the Los Angeles region to provide job seekers and businesses with no-cost, high-value employment and training services.

A full schedule of events can be found at WorkforceDevelopmentMonth.com.

To learn more about the free employment and training services offered at the center, call (661) 799-WORK or visit WorkSantaClarita.com.
