The Triumph Foundation, founded by Canyon Country resident Andrew Skinner, raised enough money to buy a Paralympic hopeful a new basketball wheelchair.

Alvin Malave, of the San Fernando Valley, has been invited to try out for the 2012 U.S. Paralympic basketball team, but needed a new basketball wheelchair to compete at that level of play.

Within two weeks the Triumph Foundation, which focuses on improving the lives of newly paralyzed people, raised enough money to order for Malave’s specifications in time to compete for the national team tryout at the end of the month.
