Henry Mayo’s services must be expanded

Mary Ann and I have lived in this valley for more than 40 years and in the last 10 years have relied heavily on Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for our health services. It is not an overstatement that our hospital saved my life at least once and arguably twice.

That being said, we are also aware of the need to expand and improve the current hospital. It is time to vote “yes” on the expansion and move forward as quickly as possible, removing as many bureaucratic roadblocks as possible and putting up the first building so we can again have helicopter service at our hospital. The recent train disaster in Chatsworth put a spotlight on the significance of our not having a heliport.
