Circle of Hope picks up Vine 2 Wine

Vine 2 Wine, one of the last annual wine events benefiting Santa Clarita residents, is changing hands.

The former Betty Ferguson Foundation, having recently closed their doors, chose Circle of Hope to take over the event set for Sunday, June 12.

Circle of Hope is working hand-in-hand with the people that ran the event so successfully for many years. But, some changes like ticketless tastings, a "wine pull," premium tastings and a "beer garden" will entice this year's guests as well.

Though other wine fests routinely charge their wine and gift vendors to have a table at events, Circle of Hope won't. Instead, it's up to each individual to donate back to Circle of Hope.

"Circle of Hope, in taking over this event, wants to give back a little bit," said Executive Director Ray Tippet. "By embracing others that might be in need of assistance, or that are facing illnesses -- it calls up our mission, makes us different, and we are happy to offer the goodwill gesture."

The mission of Circle of Hope, Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, is to provide emotional support and financial assistance for medical expenses for uninsured and underinsured individuals with breast cancer who live in, work in, or receive treatment in the Santa Clarita Valley.
