A Santa Monica man allegedly broke into Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia last night and tried to drive out of the park in a maintenance vehicle dressed in a stolen security guard uniform, officials said Thursday.

Deputies arrested the 27-year-old man before he got away. They found Batman and Flash Gordon costumes in the vehicle, said Sgt. Ron Price of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

Authorities were tipped off of a possible crime at 8 p.m. Wednesday when somebody shattered a window at the sheriff's sub-station near the entrance of the park and turned on a silent alarm, Price said.
