REP presents ‘Of Mice and Men'
The Repertory East Playhouse continues its Main Stage Series with John Steinbeck's classic, "Of Mice and Men." The production will run through Oct. 18. Book signing by SCV resident
Doni Jones, of Santa Clarita, will sign her new book "Divorce L.A.P.D. Style" at a special event hosted by the Zonta Club of the SCV from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the home of Judy Penman, 24410 Zermatt Lane, Valencia. Theatre project begins classes

Health lectures for women
On Thursdays, Sept. 4-25, from 10 to 11 a.m., Family Physician Amy Goff, staff member at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, will speak on topics related to women's health. SCV history lecture series
Every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. through Nov. 19, the SCV Historical Society will present a series of lectures by John Boston on the history of the Santa Clarita Valley. The Santa Clarita Valley Interfaith Council will host a community forum on Proposition 8 - "Same Sex Marriage Initiative: Where Religion and Politics Intersect."
