COC women's golf scores win

Kim, Boileau tie for first by shooting 79

College of the Canyons stayed hot in women's golf this season, winning its third Western States Conference match of the season with a team score of 330.

At Robinson Ranch in Canyon Country, the Cougars beat Santa Barbara City College (340), Moorpark Community College (384), Glendale City College (397) Citrus College (435).

Jennifer Kim and Vanessa Boileau both shot a 79 to tie for first place.

Brenda Chaplin and Dennis Swart both tied for seventh with an 86.

COC's next match is Monday at Moorpark Country Club.

MASTER'S COLLEGE GIRLS V-BALL
Westmont 3, Master's College 0
Westmont College's women's volleyball team defeated The Master's College (25-13, 25-23, 25-23) on Tuesday evening at Murchison Gymnasium.

Lady Mustangs Rachel Roleder had a match-high 12 kills with 11 digs, while Stephanie Mcbride added seven kills.

Roleder is 21 kills from passing her older sister and former teammate, Amanda, for second all-time on The Master's College career kills list. Rachel Roleder has 1,261 career kills, while Amanda has 1,281.

Leslie Windham finished with a team high 16 digs.

TMC is now 0-3 in the Golden State Athletic Conference (6-5 overall) and will face Fresno Pacific in Fresno today at 7 p.m.

COC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
COC 3, Victor Valley 0
Lauren Wells
and Danielle Evans paced the College of the Canyons offense in a three-set sweep of Victor Valley College.

Wells put up double digits in kills with 13 and digs with 10 in a 25-22, 25-10, 25-20 win. Evans passed out 25 assists.

It was the second straight-set victory for the Cougars this season. The first was a win over Southwestern College in the season opener.

Heather Seddon added seven kills and four blocks.

Ashley Arnold joined the passing party with 10 assists.

Brooklyn Arndt served four aces.

VARSITY GIRLS GOLF
La Reina 207, Valencia 244

Valencia's Sue Chung and Katya Ortiz both shot a 45 on Wednesday, but the Vikings lost 244-207 to La Reina at Los Robles Greens Golf Course in Thousand Oaks.

Chung finished with her 11-over score on the nine-hole, par-34 course for Valencia (1-7).
