Where are your facts coming from, Brayman?

I am writing in response to the letter written by Matthew Brayman and printed in the Sept. 16, 2008, edition of The Signal. Mr. Brayman asserts that Barack Obama's tax proposals will result in a $21,000 tax increase for a family making $75,000.

On its face, the claim seems outlandish.

After checking independent sources such as AARP, I find that Obama, in fact, is advocating a small tax cut for the middle class while proposing increasing taxes for those making more than $250,000.

I would urge Mr. Brayman to write another letter to reveal the source for his apparently false statement.
