St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is hosting a blood drive today from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to help replenish and stock the blood bank at the UCLA Medical Center, where some of the victims of Friday's Metrolink train crash remain hospitalized.

There's also a special call for "O"-positive blood, said Tracy Stapp, the Valencia church's office adminstrator.

"They have a number of patients awaiting liver transplants, and use more than 80 units of blood in just one transplant," she said.

Stapp said the church hosts blood drives for the UCLA Medical Center three times a year.

St. Stephen's is at 24901 Orchard Village Road, Valencia 91355.
