Next Saturday, 100 wineries will come together, with 500 wines, great food, entertainment and special guests, during Joel Fisher's first annual SCV Wine Fest. Guests will stroll the aisles sampling favorites from vineyards such as Dutcher Crossing, Sonoma; Briar Rose, Temecula; and Patel Winery, Napa.

But the night of wine and fine food is made even better because it benefits a great cause. This year, SCV Winefest is raising money for Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley, a local charity committed to helping Santa Clarita's homeless junior and senior high students and their families get back on their feet. Family Promise President, Larry Comp, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying, "We are honored to be designated as the official charity of the SCV Winefest."

Wine lovers will join local sponsors such as College of the Canyons, Castaic Lake Water Agency, the City of Santa Clarita, Burrtec, Andy Gump and Community Bank at The Embassy Suites in Valencia, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12, with a VIP dinner reception immediately following.

For more information and to reserve regular admission and VIP tickets, visit www.scvwinefest.com. The Embassy Suites Valencia is located at 28508 Westinghouse Place, Valencia, CA 91355.
