Mountainview Elementary School sixth-graders, from left, Jocob Gandara, Dakota Bucks, Felipe Dorado and Ian Zunich strike a pose at the end of their routine during an assembly held in the Saugus school’s multipurpose room on Wednesday. The assembly brought together 150 sixth-graders who have been taking hip-hop dance lessons for 15 weeks. The students were taught by instructors from the Music Center in Los Angeles who visited the school each week to teach an hourlong class on the hip-hop technique of locking. The program was sponsored by the school’s Parent Teacher Association.
