Aja Alexander will Dance With Our Stars at the Odyssey April 2.

The third annual Dancing with Our Stars charity event will be held Saturday, April 2 at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills.

The event will feature amateur dancers paired with professionals to raise money for nonprofits in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Among the amateur dancers in this year’s event is Aja Alexander. She will dance for the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita Valley.

Alexander moved to the SCV in 1986. She attended Valencia High School and became the co-captain of the cheerleading squad.

Alexander is a self-proclaimed dog lover who has done charity work for non-profit organizations including New Leash on Life Animal Rescue.

“My passions in life are helping people and animals in need, dancing and traveling,” she said. “I am excited to raise money and awareness for the Domestic Violence Center.”

All proceeds donated to Alexander will benefit the Domestic Violence Center of the Santa Clarita Valley and can be made through the center’s website at: www.dvcsantaclarita.com. Proxy votes are $25 each.

Tickets for the Dancing with Our Stars event include dinner and are $100 for preferred seating, $85 for general admission.
The event will take place on April 2 at 6 p.m. at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills.
