Assemblyman Smyth will visit IHOP
The Santa Clarita Valley Chapter of the California Republican Assembly will be welcoming Assemblyman Cameron Smyth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the international House of Pancakes in Stevenson Ranch. Assymblyman Smyth will address issues such as the state budget crisis and several "Job Killer Bills" identified by the California Chamber of Commerce. The meeting is open to the public, and is free. Canyon Country community will meet Wednesday
The Canyon Country Advisory Committee will hold an informational meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 at the George A. Cravalho Activity Center. The meeting will cover the Hart School Bond Measure SA, the Extreme Neighborhood Makover occurring in Canyon Country, and the Henry Mayo Hospital Campus Expansion Environmental Impact Report. Members of The LA Country Fire Department will discuss the rules and methods of transporting trauma victims, the expansion of local fire services and answer questions, said Alan J. Author of "Pornography of power" speaks
The Democratic Club of the Santa Clarita Valley hosts a speech on the "Pornography of Power" 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 22 at Don Cuco's Restaurant in Canyon Country. Robert Scheer, author of "Pornography of Power" and LA Times columnist, will speak. The evening will include political discussion, a question-and-answer session and a book signing. Picnic with gubernatorial candidate
The Democratic Club of the Santa Clarita Valley hosts "A Day in the Park" with Lt. Gov. John Garamendi and Hannah-Beth Jackson on Oct. 5. Lt. Gov.
