Jim and Susan Henderson of Three Rivers are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Henderson to Anthony Falasca of Valencia.

The bride-elect is the sister of Brian Henderson and a graduate of Canyon High School and College of the Canyons. She is employed as a special education assistant.

The groom-elect is the son of Jeff and Maria Falasca, the brother Annalisa Falasca and grandson of Paul Olivares Sr. and Jacaque Lamishaw.

He is a 1999 graduate of Canyon High School and attended College of the Canyons and Cal Lutheran. He has served as president of the Young Millionaires Club and is employed as the director of sales and marketing at the Tournament Players Club golf course in Valencia.

The bride-elect recounted details of the proposal:

"It was a Monday afternoon I received a text from Anthony. He said he was at a golf tournament at his work (Tournament Players Club) and they was a silent auction. There's a helicopter ride, should I bid on it? Neither one of us have ever been in a helicopter before so I told him to bid on it. He sent me a text about an hour later saying he won it. It included a 45 minute helicopter ride and a dinner. The next day he told me that we had to go on Saturday. We had plans to go to my parents' house on Saturday but Anthony said he would call them to see if we could switch the date, but they said no. So I called my parents and told them we weren't going go see them because we were going on a helicopter ride. I felt bad but we really wanted to go. Little did I know this was all planned. We arrived at Van Nuys airport soon we took off. As we were up in the air, looking around, Anthony and the pilot were discussing flying over the ocean in Malibu, But the pilot wasn't too sure because there was a low cloud cover. As we were over the beach we were taking in the gorgeous view. Anthony pointed out a huge house as we flew past Topanga Canyons. As I turned around Anthony had a black box with the most amazing ring shinning out of it. My eyes watered and he said "Jennifer Henderson will you marry me?" "Of course" I said. I had no clue and was totally surprised, it was perfect in every way. I never saw any signs that he had something up his sleeve. Normally Anthony cannot keep surprises and I never thought he could propose without me knowing. There was never a silent auction, As we landed there were flashes left and right. Anthony had a photographer there to capture us getting out of the helicopter. I jumped on him and we posed for a few shots then we were off to dinner. We got in the car and I called my mom but she didn't answer. I called her at least 10 times. I texted Anthony's sister but she never texted me back. Anthony told me not to call anyone and just call everyone after dinner. Nobody was answering their phones. I wondered why but it didn't matter, I had a huge diamond ring on my finger. We went to the Sherman Oaks Galleria to eat at an Italian restaurant (at least that is what I thought.) While walking towards the restaurant I heard "mommy, mommy." I looked down and it was my son running up to us. After wiping my eyes I looked up and noticed all my family and friends outside starring at us. Yet, again he surprised me. I am so happy to know I am going to be with a man that would go through all this trouble to make this a day I will never forget. We all had dinner, drank champagne, and celebrated. I am going to marry the most amazing man in this entire world.

The couple plan a May 16 wedding at TPC Valencia.
