Edison towers detract from quality of life

It's heartbreaking. To see a beautiful, sprawling community ruined before our eyes in just a few days' time is devastating.

These new monstrosities, these ugly electrical transmission towers that have suddenly sprung up, have ruined the blue, open skies of Santa Clarita.

They reach up to the heavens, trying to pierce the sky open with their overpowering ugliness.

You drive down McBean Parkway from Copper Hill, or you drive up Seco Canyon from Bouquet Canyon, and you see the most horrifying and offensive insults to our intelligence, and to our believing that we were going to live in a beautiful community.

We used to be mentioned along with Irvine as the two new, fresh communities outside Los Angeles that will attract families, businesses, retirees, with their good schools, beautiful landscape and wide-open potential.

Now who will want to have their sensibilities insulted by these super-sized, ugly industrial monsters? And who will want to buy property here?

The lowering of home values due to the sudden intrusion of these freaky giants will do permanent damage to property values.

It is heartbreaking. Somebody do something!
