It’s the Democrats who are keeping hate going

Liberals, including politicians and the lapdog media, suddenly have a lot to say about the infamous “target” map that Sarah Palin profiled as part of Republican geographic political strategy to win districts, while the same liberals ignore the Democrats’ red target map of 2004.

True to form, insular liberals ignore President Barack Obama’s Philadelphia speech wherein he said “if they bring a knife to the fight; you bring a gun.”

Gary Horton’s Wednesday “Full Speed to Port!” column, “When words have tragic consequences,” says, “Words are powerful tools. However, powerful words may come with unintended consequences.”

He also said, “America must turn down the violent militant rhetoric.”

And he asks, “Is distracting, dividing, hate and fearmongering (sic) part of an America we want for our children and ourselves?”

While I do not disagree with much of what was in Horton’s column, it is ironic when recalling a column he wrote during the last presidential primary period in which he pontificated on “why I hate Hillary Clinton.”

He spent the column leading each paragraph with the phrase,  “I hate Hillary Clinton because ...”

Democrats have been shown the door, and are saturated with bitterness.

In blaming anyone with an “R” near his or her name for the Arizona killings, except the deranged shooter, Democrats demonstrate it is their mission to keep the hate going.

“Words have meaning” ... except when they selectively don’t.
