Scott Capistrano, president of Status Not Quo, and Kathy Norris, president and CEO of the Valley Industrial Association, review VIA’s new website prior to its debut on Tuesday.

The Valley Industrial Association launched its new website Tuesday, coincidentally released on the date written numerically as 1-11-11. The debut of the new site is timed to coincide with the organization’s 30-year anniversary next month.

More member-friendly, the site allows the public at large to use the association’s online membership-subscription service.

Users can also RSVP for events and add the events to their personal Outlook Calendar automatically.

Also featured is a New Members Portal, which allows users to manage their profiles and conduct committee work.

Additionally, the VIA website hosts articles written by members of the association and business community.

The new site was developed by Status Not Quo, a Santa Clarita-based strategic Web design and programming firm and VIA member business.

“Status Not Quo is proud to work with VIA developing a new strategic design for the VIA website, including a wealth of additional member tools and resources,” said Scott Capistrano, president of Status Not Quo. “We’re very excited about the launch of the new website.”

VIA CEO and President Kathy Norris said the new website launched in time to help the organization celebrate its 30-year anniversary.

“It offers innovative features and excellent benefit opportunities for VIA members,” Norris said. “We encourage everyone to visit and enjoy its streamlined functionality.”

The home page contains strategic news and the latest blog entries. Quick access to VIA’s Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn feeds is also featured, as well as popular-destination links, such as VIA’s 2011 Regional Conference and Industry Show.

“This is a great time to be involved in VIA,” said Tim Burkhart, VIA chairman of the board and general manager of Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor.
