Traffic may slow in downtown Newhall on Tuesday due to a road closure.

The southbound lane of Railroad Avenue will be closed between 12th Street and Lyons Avenue from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m., city officials said Wednesday.

The lane will receive new asphalt pavement as part of a Railroad Avenue and 11th Street roadway improvements.

City officials said the work must be completed during the day due to the temperature requirements for these works.
