Canyon Country’s two-year-old Jacob Fierro has leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant.

First Christian Church in Canyon Country is doing what it can to help, said Dorene King, church office administrator.

The church is hosting a bone marrow drive with the help of the City of Hope, from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at 27421 Homyr Place in Canyon Country.

Those who want to help Jacob don’t need to give up any bone marrow yet — just get their insides of their cheeks swabbed to see if they are compatible, King said.
