Betty Ferguson commitment lives on

I am profoundly saddened by the news that the Betty Ferguson Foundation is closing its doors, but thrilled that I had the opportunity to be part of BFF/Mes Amies for many years.

Since moving to the Santa Clarita Valley, Mes Amies and its volunteer program have given me many joy-filled memories. The numerous times that we volunteered as a group for other nonprofits in our community helped me grow as a human being, while connecting to others of a like mind. Not only did the Betty Ferguson Foundation provide a place for people to meet, it gave us opportunities to grow into better human beings.

BFF is not a building. It is several groups of people; each committed to making our community better through service. That commitment, that community involvement, lives on in every person lucky enough to have been part of BFF.

I want to thank BFF for its vision and dedication to excellence over the last 13 years. The foundation’s legacy will live on through all those you have so lovingly served.
