Eagle Scouts soar

Scouts: Kel Valentine and Spencer Lindsay earn top rank

Spencer Lindsay and Kel Valentine from the Bill Hart Boy Scout District, Troop 607, recently  were honored for receiving their Eagle rank. 

For their Eagle Scout projects, both were successful in demonstrating leadership skills in organizing hundreds of local volunteers in serving the community. 

Lindsay’s project included beautifying  Castaic Lake  Park by painting fences and adding new benches. 
Valentine’s project helped organize a collection of bedding materials and overseeing the completion of more than 50 handmade quilts for donation to the needy.

The duo were celebrated at a Court of Honor by friends and family and attended by Mark Murphy the Bill Hart BSA District chairman, Brett Walter, field representative for U.S. Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon, Brandon Black, LDS Church Santa Clarita Stake Young Men’s president, among others.
