The city of Santa Clarita invites community members to sign up to attend its Rose Parade Excursion on Jan. 1.

The excursion will shuttle residents to Pasadena to view the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade for reserved grandstand seating along the parade route.

Tickets are limited and available at $98 per person for residents, $113 per person for non-residents, and $103 per person for non-resident seniors (55+). The cost includes round-trip transportation by bus and reserved grandstand seating.

Registration is available online at santa-clarita.com or at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex Aquatic Center. The last day to register for the excursion is Tuesday, Dec. 21.

The Aquatic Center is located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita 91350

"This excursion is a great way to attend the Rose Parade without the stress associated with traffic, parking, and seating," Mayor Laurene Weste said.

Pasadena's 122nd annual Tournament of Roses Parade, titled "Building Dreams, Friendships & Memories," will allow attendees to view giant floral floats, top-notch marching bands and more as the parade makes its way down Colorado Boulevard.

Registered attendees must arrive at the City's Sports Complex Activities Center at 20880 by 6 a.m. on Saturday, January 1 for departure. The excursion will return guests to Santa Clarita around 1:30 p.m.

For more information, contact Lisa Nikkila, recreation supervisor for the city's Recreation division, at (661) 284-1466 or visit santa-clarita.com.
