Football Recovery Sessions
Velocity Sports Performance has developed a program to help football players recover from game day and prepare for the next week of practice. The sessions for high school players will take place on Saturdays from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. and for youth players on Sundays from 10 to 11 a.m. The cost is $30 per session and free for Velocity members. Family-to-Family Education
The NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program is a free 12-week course for adult family members of individuals with severe mental illnesses.  In the SCV the course will run from 6:45  to 9:30 p.m. from Thursday through Dec. 4 at 21618 Golden Triangle Road, Suite 106, Santa Clarita. Heart Link Network Meeting
The Heart Link Network is a monthly relaxed dinner/networking gathering for women. Voter Registration at Senior Center

Support for Parents of Addicts
A support group for parents who are coping with a son or daughter’s drug or alcohol addiction will meet every Tuesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center at 27107 Tourney Road in Valencia, Conference Room No. 1 on the second floor. Assistance League of Santa Clarita
Assistance League meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at the Valencia Hills Clubhouse, 24060 Oak Vale Drive, Valencia. This Wednesday’s meeting will begin with a social at 6:30 p.m. The Oct. 1 meeting begins with a social at 8:30 a.m. Assistance League  operates the all-volunteer Take Two Resale Shop located at 24364 Main St. in Newhall. Health Lectures for Women

On Thursdays, from Sept. 4 to 25, from 10 to 11 a.m., Family Physician Amy Goff, staff member at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, will speak on topics related to women’s health. CTG Youth Workshops
The Canyon Theatre Guild is accepting enrollment for fall youth workshops. The fall programs include Adventures in Theatre Daytime Workshops for homeschooled children. Act I is a beginning class that will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will culminate in a performance of “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Act II is an advanced class and admission is by audition. This class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with two weeks of morning performances of “Madelaine’s Christmas.” Act III is for children in grades 2-5 and meets Tuesday and Thursday. History of the Ridge Route
The Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society will present a lecture at 2 p.m. on Sept. 6 on the History of the Ridge Route. The Sisterhood of Congregation Beth Shalom will present two presidential election forums to provide residents of the Santa Clarita Valley with information about each candidate’s platforms and views. T’ai Chi Class at Senior Center

The Soroptimists of Greater Santa Clarita Valley will host the inaugural “The Wine Affair ... Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds” on Oct. 19 from 1 to 5  p.m. along Town Center Drive in the Westfield Valencia Town Center. A portion of the day’s proceeds will benefit the Sheila R.
